AlDub: Alden and Maine Own their Stars On The Philippine Walk Of Fame 2015

AlDub is a play on the first names of Filipino actors Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza – who plays the character Yaya Dub in a segment of a Philippine noontime show, Eat Bulaga’s Kalyeserye, both stars with huge followings on social media.

The famous on-cam couple Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards has got the best reason to celebrate this year’s Christmas season.

Aside from a series of endorsements of various products such as Mc Donald’s, Talk N’ Text, Zonrox, Coca-cola and 555 Sardines, to name a few, a big break for the love team is yet to be seen by their fans – My BeBe Love, a romantic comedy starring AlDub with the veteran comedians, Ms. Ai Ai delas Alas and Vic Sotto which one of the official entries for the country’s year ender – the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival.

With the vast rise of AlDub fadom, after trending in social media and being the meat of some news features internationally, Maine and Alden popularly known as “AlDub” received their Walk of Fame Stars in this year’s Philippine Walk of Fame event last December 1st which was held at Eastwood City, Libis, Quezon City, reported PEP. This event is patterned after the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and was first time-honored in the Philippines last December 2005, with the effort of the famous “Kuya Germs.”

The AlDub nation is also excited for the stars’ upcoming projects and endorsements. Some of those are Nescafe, Close-up, Rexona, Head and Shoulders, Neozep and Downy, as said by Mommy Tinidora’s post on her Twitter account.

From just dubbing some love songs, Maine and Alden have made their way to a total fame for capturing the hearts and taste of the viewers because of the giddiness of their on-cam love story. The Aldub nation is also excited to know the “real” connection between the two, off the camera, as in one episode when Helen Gamboa asked whether the two are just friends of not, Alden said, “wag po kayong mag-alala, malay niyo po baka pagdating po ng Pasko, pwede ko rin po kayong tawaging ninang”, according to GMA-News Online. Whatever, the ending of their story is, there is only one way to find out.
