Paraluman

The stunning Paraluman charmed appreciative since she began her film career in 1940. And for 35 memorable years, she delighted the people with her distinguished beauty and colorful film performances. At the age of seventeen, Paraluman (Mina de Gracia) graced the screen via the movie “Flores de Mayo” But behind the screen, it was usually rumoured during World War 2 that Paraluman was a mistress of Yamashita. When Yamashita surrendered, the United States Armed Forces of the Far East captured them in the hopes to save Paraluman, her family and assistants from the Filipino mob who wants to kill them for being “Maka-Pili”. Paraluman begged for her life with a Filipino Lieutenant who eventually saved them. According to some witness, Paraluman was bald when captured due to lice infestation while in hiding. After the war, Paraluman returned to acting.

Susan Roces

Susan Roces is a veteran actress and has played more significant roles in real life, showing that she’s definitely more than just a beautiful one of the beauties of yesterday. Roces is a member of one of the country’s biggest clans, the Locsin family of Negros Occidental. Roces husband is the famous Filipino actor Fernando Poe Jr. Now the actress was the Lola Flora “Cap” in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida after TV Patrol.

Gloria Romero

An actress appeared in film and television. Romero first went out to Premiere Production but she did not get there until she was taken to Sampaguita Pictures, where she was named the Most High and most beautiful face in the Sampaguita Pictures ground.Romero’s career spans 60 years and includes award winning performances in the films Tanging Yaman (FAMAS Best Actress 2001). She inspires many young Filipinos. She was born as Gloria Galla to a Filipino father, Pedro Galla, and an American mother, Mary Borrego. She is the first recipient of the lifetime achievement award from the MTRCB (Movies and Television Review and Classification Board).

Amalia Fuentes

Amalia Fuentes is a famous Filipino actress, and former super star of Philippine cinema. In 1956, Fuentes and fellow actor Juancho Gutierrez won Sampaguita Pictures’ Mr. & Ms. Number One contest. Sampaguita Pictures launched Amalia and Juancho into fame in the 1956 film Movie Fan. She was once dubbed the Elizabeth Taylor of the Philippines. She is the mother of actress Liezl Martinez. She is the first Filipino Lux Soap model.
