An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.5 and 10ft high waves striked in Palu, Indonesia. The tsunami swept away some buildings and houses where families reported missing. Indonesian island of Sulawesi, dumping victims caught in its unyielding path across a distressed landscape that rescuers were struggling to reach a damaged road while having communications breakdown. Meanwhile, approximately 400 people were killed and 540 was injured when a 7.5 earthquake sent a tsunami barreling into the said place. It has been observed that Indonesia is frequently hit by earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and tsunamis like Philippines because of its location on the “Ring of Fire,” an arc of volcanoes and fault lines in the Pacific.
