Everybody has their own sets of New Year’s resolutions. From trimming their body weights, starting a new hobby and so on and so forth. In majorities’ resolution, having a good health will never miss their place in that list, is that correct? Indeed, yes. So what will you do to achieve that resolution? Here is one of my friendly tips. Start drinking your turmeric.
What is turmeric? Turmeric is a plant and it is the spice used in curry. Not just in curry is it used but also in mustards, butter, cheeses and curry powder to add color and flavor. It belongs to the ginger family and has the scientific name of Curcuma longa. Turmeric has that bitter taste and it has the “warm” feeling once taken in.
Why you should start taking in Turmeric. There are several health benefits when you drink Turmeric and one of them is:
Longevity. Curcumin, which is the main ingredient in Turmeric, has been found helpful in preventing heart diseases, alzheimer’s and cancer thus making your life longer if prevented to occur earlier.
Anti-depressant. Curcumin has also been aiding in the treatment of depression. In some tests, there were evidences that it boosts the brain neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine.
Cure for arthritis. It helped cure patients with rheumatoid arthritis which shows that it is more effective than any anti-inflammatory drugs.
Prevents Cancer. Cancer is a disease wherein there is uncontrolled growth of cells. With the changes on the molecular level, Curcumin is leading to, it holds the possibility of treating cancer.
